Equipment

The floor that
forms what others can't.

Heavy-gauge rotary and shuttle forming, robotic trim and finishing, and an in-house tool mill, the machines behind a 24 ft forming envelope, under one roof in McGregor, Minnesota.

Heavy-gauge rotary former

AVT 3-Station Rotary Thermoformer

The anchor of the floor and the largest machine of its kind in the world. Three forming stations rotate through a single oven so heating, forming, and load/unload run in parallel, production throughput at large-format size.

  • Sheet size10 ft 4 in × 24 ft
  • Depth of draw6 ft
  • Max sheet thickness.600"

Dual-Ender Shuttle Thermoformer on the Floe Thermoforming floor
Shuttle thermoformer

Dual-Ender Shuttle Thermoformer

A shuttle machine with two clamp frames feeding one oven, so a formed part comes off one side while the next sheet heats on the other. Built for long production runs of large heavy-gauge parts at steady cycle.

  • Sheet size10 ft × 12 ft
  • Depth of draw15 in
  • Max sheet thickness.600"

MAAC 3-Station Rotary Thermoformer

A second heavy-gauge forming platform that widens the floor's capacity and material range, so large programs run without waiting on a single machine.

  • Sheet size3 ft 4.5 in × 6 ft 8 in
  • Depth of draw18 in
  • Max sheet thickness.350"
Single Station Shuttle on the Floe Thermoforming floor
Shuttle thermoformer

Single Station Shuttle

A single-station forming platform with pressure-forming capability. Built for short production or prototype runs.

  • Sheet size3 ft 4 in × 6 ft 8 in
  • Depth of draw15 in
  • Max sheet thickness.400"
Trim, finish & tooling

Everything after the form

A formed part is not a finished part. The same floor trims, finishes, and tools every program so what ships is production-ready.

Robotic Trim Cells

Automated cells trim the formed parts and finish edges at production rate, referencing fixture datums for part-to-part consistency.

5-Axis CNC Machining

Machines value-add components and features to print, referenced to fixture datums for repeatable accuracy on complex large-format geometry.

4-Axis CNC Machining

High-throughput machining and routing of value-add components for production volumes where five-axis articulation is not required.

In-House Tool Mill

Mills prototype and bridge tooling on the same floor that forms the part, removing the outside-vendor queue from the program timeline.
